Get a taste of England with this traditional dish. Chippies conjure up greasy spoon atmosphere and scummy tables. Not Sam’s. Taking on the appearance of a smart restaurant, this is probably one of the most posh chip shops in London . Fish is fried in Mazo meal (breadcrumbs) and a free mixed salad comes with every meal.

Bodhran Bar<\/h3>\n

Very near to Hendon Central tube and located just a few seconds from NLB youth hostel, the Bodhran is a typical Irish bar with a tendency to attract an older clientele. There’s also a big screen showing Sky sports.

The Claddagh Ring<\/h3>\n

A local favourite, this Irish theme pub features live music Thursday, Friday and all weekend, from Celtic rock to Irish folk.

The Hendon<\/h3>\n

The Hendon has a late license and boasts resident garage DJs every Friday and Saturday. The entertainment continues throughout the week.

Heaving with Aussies and Kiwis, the White Swan is usually packed full. Wannabe Pop Idols can have their few minutes of fame with Karaoke every other Friday and there are occasional theme nights.
